Unless the amp is an unshielded piece of trash, the position of the amp 
relative to the TV set DOES NOT MATTER.  What DOES matter are the 
positions of the transmitting ANTENNA(s) relative to the TV set, the 
CATV system (or an over-the-air RX antenna), and it's wiring.
