If you try a dimmer, stay from Lightolier. They had the style I wanted (looks
like a regular switch, but the toggle motion actually dims). I couldn't stand
it. It was especially bad on the BC band. I also had a difficult time returning
it. But the real kicker was that the box it came in said something like
"Suppresses RF interference". Nothing could have been further from the truth!

Thanks Dale. I might try a dimmer and, since it's my kitchen, change it
out for a switch if it's RF noisy :-)

My understanding is that the usual under-cabinet lighting is low
voltage. Wonder if the power supplies make noise into the RF spectrum?

Is there any point in talking with the dealer about RFI from the General
Electric appliances? Or asking for assurance in writing that there won't
be a problem? I doubt that the people there would have any clue about
this issue.
