If fuel injected, the pump is usually a constant whine. If an on-demand pump, you might hear and puttering arcing sound every few seconds at idle, more often when driving. If a mechanical pump, no noise. Computers make a LOT of noise as well as up to dozens of other modules in your vehicle. My particular vehicle, which I have yet to install my radio equipment in is PWM, Pulse Width Modulation, controlled. I can hear drifting buzzing sounds quite well up to 500 MHz.
