Their summary/target app seems distracting:

FM frequency in MHz range filtering with NiZn
AM frequency in kHz range filtering with MnZn

The graphs in the PDF, and their discussion of turns/resonance
/inductance imply significant flexibility.

Then again, this is all out of my knowledge-wheelhouse, so I'll
go with your assessment.
