Per Jim's suggestion long ago, I recently purchased the Tecsun PL-660 from
Universal Radio for $110 + $10 shipping. It's an excellent and fun portable
shortwave that receives upper and lower SSB, and also covers the 118 - 137
MHz AM Aircraft band.
