"I am using NationalRF loops For 3 to 8 MHz." Have you considered higher frequencies, and smaller directional antennas?I often check up to around 950 MHz, increasing in frequency as I get closer to a source, and a small high-gain Yagi is comparable to a laser pointer. Not a few houses, a few feet, and where within those few feet the item may be located.
