Yes. it is used under Part 15.

I have an Icom IC-9700. Whats really fun is to have that on the Sat antenna, which is CP, and listen from 433.8 t0 .95. I can hear HUNDREDS of signals.

I've even dialed in that area on the mobile FM rig, and just drive around. Thousands of signals.
