We have a resin system. It is "recharged" each year (they swap tanks) for
about $200. It back flushes once a week on an electromechanical timer.
There is a digital timer available when it finally dies.
Around here the company is Water Doctor. It was inexpensive to have
installed compared to other systems 25 years ago. Works fine.
