Well maybe. The freq and other stuff may not make sense but I think
ensuring the exchange happened is important. I probably had too long of a
message for the first go round and I had shortened it by the end. I feel I
need to provide the data twice because I don't have a high power or beam
station...just my simple dipoles and about 50 watts. I don't want to see
AGN AGN? or worse later having people wonder if they got it right the second
time around...(first time they thought it was MA then next time ME...which
was it??) I prefer to get it right the first time...less frustrating.
What you are saying about the QSL message is interesting. I did not know if
w2up had qsl'd me one of the times...I believe I thought he hadn't so I
beleive I deleted a contact. just sending a T or TU to us weak guys may
mean you lose contacts. It may come to me as noise and I am not sure what
is going on, especially where people were jumping in early.
I really don't know...guess you have to take some chances and get luck with
your skill to win one of these things. Guess sometimes it pays off
sometimes it doesn't. I just like to participate...I have no real desire to
win...usually you can pick up some nice dx contests but I can see that there
was very little of that here (for me at least).
