[RTTY] DX spots on non-DX's CQ frequency?

Hi All,

I'm seeing more DX of DX on a non-DX station's CQ frequency by the non-DX 
station.  In other words a guy is calling CQ on a frequency and spotting 
contacts he works there.  Why?  Or is this a new form of bragging?
