It is great to see so many new calls in the contest and with many of the new
fellows operating like long time pro's with short and efficient macros.
Welcome aboard new people.
The bands here were quite consistent most of the weekend with a strong
opening to EU in the mornings until mid afternoon on twenty meters. Both
eighty and forty meters were good in the evenings and were nicely crowded
with more stations than I have ever heard before. With all the new stations
getting into this great mode of RTTY and with luck, higher sunspot numbers
in the next few years, I easily predict we will all be enjoying even larger
and more fun pack WPX RTTY contests weekends in the coming years.
For me I had a very enjoyable weekend and can honestly say there were really
no low points worth mentioning. It is great to know most RTTY Ops are very
civil when it comes to contesting, whether going for the big score, or just
handing out a few points between sips of coffee.
Thanks to all the stations who took the time to listen for my LP station, it
really is appreciated. If you collect electrons, look for my Q's in LoTW
soon. For the card collectors, not a problem, please support your local
bureau and I will happily exchange QSL cards that way.
>From Canada,
Eric - Ve3gsi
