IRCs are still available. The # that the clerk has to type in (can not be
scanned) is 33800 . I wrote it down. It comes out on the receipt as:

You are not the first (nor will you be the last) to educate a postal clerk
about IRCs.

Subject: [RTTY] IRC's - OFF TOPIC SUBJECT
I need some new IRC's to confirm bands in RTTY mode. My local Postmaster
(post office) tells me IRC's are not available any more from the USPS. It
was my understanding that a new IRC was to take effect as of January 1,
2010. Anyone else that can not buy IRC's at their local post office ? Are
they still available from the USPS ? I have gone to the USPS web site and
can not find IRC's listed for sale.
