Thanks to Roy, N8YYS, for helping with this.
Today, HAL Communications released DXPWIN 3.0 for the DXP-38 to run on 64-bit
systems such as Vista and Windows 7. See below by Joe
with HAL.
Link to the download is from their Downloads page at:
http://www.halcomm.com/Downloads.htm
Report any problems to HAL. I'm just relaying the information and thanking Roy
for all his help in this matter.

_____
I have uploaded a new version of DXPWin to our website.
The installer (like the exe file) is actually a 32bit program. Windows 64 bit
seems to run 32 applications fine. This is opposed to
drivers which must be 64 bits to run on a 64 bit operating system.
DXPWin 3.0 seems to run fine on Windows-7 Pro. I have DXPWin decoding RTTY with
the soundcard tuning window as well.
The new version installs to:
C:/Program Files/HAL Communications Corp/DXPWin 3.0
The shortcut on the desktop is also DXPWin 3.0 with a terminal icon replacing
the lightning bolt icon.
This way the new installer does not conflict with files from the old installer
on computers already running DXPWin. And, the new
icon should eliminate confusion on which version is installed (by the user as
well as us).
Would you mind posting the availability of the new version to the RTTY list?
Do you have a DXP38?
Thanks es 73
Joe
