Interesting that you recognize antenna significance in your rules. But why not
power too?

A quick take the top performers in each category tells me that beamers average
40% more effective than the little antennas, assuming average equity in power
and other factors for these stations:

Raw QSO numbers of top 10 stations operating 6 hours ea antenna category,

BIG (cat B) LITTLE (cat D)
433 281

364 236
300 226
319 187
338 248
280 241
295 258
327 241
320 191
284 219
------ -----
 3260 2328

I enjoyed your contest. Next time I'll try to enter in the correct category! hi
hi.

Bill N3XL

Hello Bill,

> antennas are ignored by 99% of the contest rules

please have a look in the rules from our "DL-DX RTTY Contest".

http://www.drcg.de

We don't have power categories. We have categories for

- SO1R / SOnR
- big antennas (beam) / small antennas (dipol, GP)
- 6-HOURS / 24-HOURS

A station with GP and 750W (legal power in DL) has less chance than a
station with 100W and Beam.
