Hi,
The BARTG "Sprint" is no more a sprint than Le Mans is a drag race.
Anything that's 86,400,000 milliseconds long is hardly sprint-like. And I'd
rather think they eliminated the RST out of good sense. (I have a rich
fantasy life. Let me be).
Is there a contest where the objective is not to work as many stations as
possible?
Well, maybe there once was. Back in 1988 when KH2D was in Guam, he
entered the CQ WW SSB contest as a 160M single band station. He worked one
other
Guam station for country and zone mults but zero points, zero score. He
sent in his log and won, there being a substantial loophole in the rules,
which has since been closed down. I'm not making this up. You can see the
certificate on kh2d.net; click on awards, then the upper right certificate.

This contest is called a "SPRINT" and thus probably one of the reasons the
exchange does NOT include RST, only serial number. A
"SPRINT" to me is a contest where rate is KING and the objective is to
work as many stations as possible in a short amount of time
