Jim and Ron... I respectfully suggest you reply to the reflector when
offering suggestions. It allows everyone to see what suggestions have
been made and tried.
Dick... If you are not getting anything in the FFT or XY scope, even
when tuned to a RTTY signal, the issue is that the two tones are not
making it to the MMTTY demodulator. This could be because the audio from
the receiver is not making it to the soundcard (Signalink USB) or the
tones being fed to the demodulator are a different frequency than where
the MMTTY demodulator is "listening".
A third possibility is the lightning strike took out something in the
Signalink USB unit, as well as your computer. The online user manual
does not include a schematic, so the signal path to check is unknown.
Another thing you might try is to run a temporary audio cable from your
radio to your computer soundcard, select that soundcard as the input
device, and verify that it will pass and decode RTTY signals. If this
works, my hunch is the Signalink USB needs some repair work.
