We need to verify the "port" your USB converter is set to.
In Windows, try Start - Settings - Control Panel - System -
Hardware - Device Manager - Ports   to see what serial
port has been assigned.  This is the number you will use
in SD's PORT command.

Please delete your SD.INI file, then start SD and try
the PORTS command.

In general, CW from Windows XP may not be as smooth as
from a Win98 PC.  In any case, I strongly recommend
WinKeyer USB from www.k1el.com. You can usually purchase
an already-assembled model.
