The REF contest takes place from 0600 UTC Saturday 27th to
1759 UTC Sunday 287th February. It is SSB-only on the 5
contest bands from 80 - 10m. There are single and all-band
options for HP, LP (100w) and QRP (5W).

Rules at concours.ref-union.org/reglements/actuels/reg_cdfhfdx.pdf

SD supports SO entries. V14.30 is free from www.ei5di.com.

Select the "REF, DX" template (outside France) - or
             "REF, France" template (French side)

French stations send département number or country prefix
(Overseas Territories). Others send a serial, and work
"French" stations only - with multipliers for départements
and certain country prefixes.

French stations include Mainland France, Corsica, and French
Overseas Territories.

NOTE for entrants outside France. Scoring is by continent,
but SD may not know what continent you're in, unless your
prefix and country are added to the REFDX file. You should
copy your own country record from DXCC.CTY and add it to
REFDX.CTY (use NotePad) before the contest, for SD to score
correctly.

If you're not sure which countries, apart from France, you
can work - look for SD to show a beam heading (under the
logging line) after you've entered two or more callsign
characters. When you see a heading, it means SD has
identified it as a "French" country. You can log other
stations, but they will not score.

Use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo .LOG file and send it
to cdfssb@ref-union.org.

Please mention SD in your soapbox comments, as this
encourages others to try it.

73,
Paul EI5DI
