The RSGB Commonwealth Contest takes place from 1000 UTC
Saturday 8th to 0959 UTC Sunday 9th March. It is CW-only
on the 5 contest bands from 80-10m, and is restricted to
entrants in the UK and Commonwealth call areas. There are
Open and Restricted categories.
Rules at www.rsgbcc.org/hf/rules/2014/rberu.shtml
The use of spotting networks is not permitted.
SD V17.29 is free from www.ei5di.com
Select SD's "Commonwealth/BERU" template,
Exchange Serials. HQ stations add the "HQ" identifier.
Work UK and Commonwealth countries only, however you
may not work your own call area. Note that the UK
(all G/M prefixes) represents a single call area, and
UK entrants may not work one another for points - with
the exception that all "HQ" stations may be worked,
regardless of call area.
SD identifies inappropriate calls and prefixes as
"Non-Commonwealth". Potential bonus QSOs are flagged
instantly as you type prefixes, and the corresponding
bonus status for the other bands is shown below the
callsign.
The first three QSOs in each Commonwealth call area
count as bonus QSOs, and score an extra 20 points.
The UK counts as a single call area. QSOs with HQ
stations are bonus QSOs and, once again, may be worked
by everyone.
Use SDCHECK to create your Cabrillo .LOG file, and
upload it at www.rsgbcc.org/cgi-bin/hfenter.pl
Please mention SD in your soapbox comments.
73,
Paul EI5DI
