Hi Steve. Good point. But, that is common on all of the modern day
radios.
The OMNI-6 has individual card shielding present, which I suppose is
all that the engineers consider necessary. In fact, the whole bottom
has a sub shield that is quite full.
But - I'm with you. Even though all is now low impedance, and therefore
low voltage, I would like to see the old copper shields with
"Finger-Stock". How much would that raise the cost of manufacture?
It would probably be significant!
