Since there's no mention of DTMF at the TenTec website's listing of the
2m transceiver kit, I assume it is not included in their microphone. To
DTMF enable the radio, can one buy a third party DTMF microphone and use
it w/o mods to the radio? If so, what brand recommendations do you (the
TenTec group) have? I'd be interested in low-cost & reliability.
Also, does the kit inspire learning, i.e. is each component's
functionality explained w/ regard to its (near future) purpose in life?
