Mr. Knecht,

Well, sir,  I suspect you've been straightened out on Ten Tec service by
now, but if not here goes:

They do not need a return authorization number.
They do not take service calls by e-mail or on their 800 order number.
The service number accompanies all their ads in the ham journals.  (The
number in the back of you manual is incorrect due to recent realignment
of area codes by the telephone system.)
Call them, they will be glad to help you save the shipping by coaching
you through repairing yourself, if feasible (with parts supplied by mail
on open account).
If you have to send it in for service, it will be accomplished quickly
and at fair price.

I am sure you will get your rig fixed, though rigs as old as the Century
21 are no longer supported by most manufacturers.
