OK, I just want you to try this.

If you have an Omni VI/VI+ hook up a stock Cleartone speaker in the MFJ
enclosure just the way it comes in the box. Press your ST button and adjust
your sidetone frequency up and down using the RIT knob, at around 620 - 680Hz
the speaker will reach resonance. You can tell this by eyeballing it because
loudness will increase slightly and I can feel the speaker resonating then
dropping off just after I increase by a few Hz. It is narrow approx. 40 Hz
guessing. My 961 PS mounted Cleartone appears to reach resonance at approx.
420Hz, a little too low. If you are used to studio work then you are used to
the dynamic range of the human voice and musical instruments but here we are
not talking about a dynamic range just a small slice of your audible hearing,
400Hz-800Hz, and in particular 650Hz.
