FYI :

Well after one year of searching , putting in Ads in Keynotes, TVC, =
etc. (including the scam from a post here on the reflector from "A =
sender" who was taking bids on a Mercury a few months ago), I found and =
am the owner of Mercury paddle number 231 mfg April 1992. I am waiting =
for it to arrive now and hope to be able to give a report on it =
shortly....Being a collector and owning and using most paddles =
manufactured in the last 45 years, I must say the Mercury's will have to =
go some to beat out my WBL's ----

I went so far as too contacting C.Henry VA3CH (who was trying to find a =
buyer for the assets/copyrights of the Mercury biz) and Mrs Nurkiewicz , =
Steve's wife to purchase the company...

Well Im happy to report that Bencher Inc. has purchased the company and =
will be offering the Mercury Paddles shortly. Bencher will utilize =
serial numbers greater than 1000 as a demarcation separating those made =
by Steve (N2DAN)...

I have been in contact with Bencher this morning, They are not sure of =
the pricing of the paddles, or time frame. I have placed an order with =
Bencher and will be receiving the first set of "Mercury" paddles put =
out by Bencher :-)

I don't know what effect this will have on the prices of the original =
paddles made by Steve but expect they won't bring in the outrageous =
prices that folks have been asking for them :-) Who knows I may just =
sell my original now. These guys who have said they wouldn't sell even =
in the high 4 digit price range won't have to worry or hold there breath =
, I don't think the line is going to be very long with guys wanting to =
buy them... Just my oppion!
