Well here it go's ...If you take the scout on its face value it is a
compact mobile rig mine has over 200 k miles of road use . I find
that it is great mobile I can put my hand on the face of the radio
and know what switch or knob I want without taking my eyes off the road.
I work 40 meters and always get good signal reports .. So it's a 400
dollar radio and these days you get what you pay for !! so enjoy
or build a better one your self
