Hi folks:

For what it's worth, you can often force a a radio into very low power by 
feeding dc into its ALC circuit. A simple high resistance voltage divider 
across a 9-V battery will often do the trick. Use a pot so that you can very 
the voltage between one leg and the wiprer, and reduce power to QRP levels 
of a watt or three.

Not all Ten-Tec radios go to (near) zero watts output with the
PWR control.

Dan, have you tried to find/build an attenuator that will eat up
15 watts to leave you with 5?
