Hi All:
Anyone ever use a model 243 external vfo (built for the early
OMNI A, B, C, D) with the Corsair I? I just found a crippled
243 and am putting it into shape and figure I ought to be able
to use is with my Corsair (I don't own an OMNI-D anymore).
I checked the pinouts for the connectors (the connectors for
the 243 and the 263 input for the Corsair are compatible) and
there is one small difference. Pin 6 on the 243 vfo is
unconnected, but pin 6 on the Corsair I input is labeled
"A" (meaning vfo A, or the internal Corsair pto input?).
On the 243, pin 5 says "counter out" and pin 5 on the Corsair
I is unconnected.
Maybe my lack of engineering skills is showing, but I can't
figure out how to get this right. Anyone try this?
