Could you have an actual physical short in the key line? Check the
wiring from the mike jack on the front panel (check with ohmmeter)
and then check the key line from the back where manual key goes,
you might also check the keyer line, it might be stuck in transmit.
That's my first thought, eliminate that first, then on to the rest....
