I just started getting a 60 Hz hum from the speaker of my OmniD. It is
powered by the model 255 Power Supply. I get hum from both the internal
and external speakers. I don't have a schematic for the 255, but just
looking, it seems that the the big (?)000uf (can't read without taking
it out) capacitor across the output should be eliminating this hum. The
other area of suspicion is the 2 diodes on the regulator board. Don't
know if it was a tentec solder job, that of a previous owner, or an
overheated diode, but the board looks scorched around those diodes.

Anyone have previous experience with this problem?

Thanks in advance & 73
