Lots of interesting comments on this topic.

I bought one of the "collector keys" from Fair Radio Sales. Its a
neat little key, all bakelite construction. It has a nice action but
I don't think it would be comfortable in prolonged use because of the
unusual knob which is not as comfortable as a standard or Navy knob.
I consider it more of a collector's or SKN item than a key for daily

The best Navy type key that I ever used is th CMI26003A. You can get a
view of it at www.moresex.com in the key collection.

If I were buying a new straight key, I would opt for one of the
Nye Viking Speedex keys.
