tnx everyone for all the help. GOt the cap on, but seems to be much to
large a value for the job.
The mod calls for a 1000 micro farad electtrolitic cap, but nearly kills
the voice.
Even when turning the pot on the board and the beep/voice pot on the rig,
you can barely hear the voice.
I am going to confirm with TT on the value, but I wonder if 100Mf would be
sufficient. You can turn the pot on the board down and up on the rig which
helps a little, but you can still hear it through the headset. Its annoying
and I have pretty good ears still and it just drives me nuts.
I thought I'd get used to it, but well it is there and at a frequency that
just is at that pitch to annoy you.
