Curious,
I just bought a 217 filter second hand, and I see that one ceramic disc
capacitor position is vacant. Closer inspection reveals that the copper clad
has never been soldered to, so it obviously came that way from the factory.
Is this common?
Could it be that these filters are hand matched, and on testing this
assembly they found that it didn't need that capacitor?
