Hi Web;
I did something similar to this in the mid 1950's. I placed two whips on
the car, and fed them out of phase. It increased my range quite a bit, but
it was directional.
Maybe some day, I can get back to experimenting with antennas, like I used
to do. As I remember, it was kinda fun.
