well to tell you the truth, I could care less what you use. I hated the
TS570 I had for cw work, but love my Omni-V. Now there's comparing two
different apples. So, is the 781 better than an Omni? depends on who you
ask and that is the point.
However, here's my thought. I bet the Omni blows most any rig away in terms
of being user friendly. I say this because all the controls have a function
and not 2 or 3 in most cases. This is most definately true with the Omni-V.
Now no matter what anyone says, I haven't yet found a rig that was this
easy to operate. Ok, think there might have been an old Icom or maybe it
was a Yaesu. In any case simplicity rules. Well guess I'm just not a
serious contester.<g>
