[TenTec] VOX and No-Keying

The other day, while fooling around with PSK31 with VOX on my
Omni VI, I happened to punch the CW button and took a swipe or
two at the paddles...no keying...Cool!  It seems that with the
VOX on, CW keying (and sidetone) is disabled.  Punch VOX off and
CW keying (and sidetone) is restored. Now, I can program and
check the keyer memories, test the contest software, etc, without
pulling patches.

I had never seen the VOX on/no CW keying function mentioned
anywhere. Nor do I recall anyone mentioning it on the
reflector--apologies to anyone who has mentioned it; I can only
claim advancing old age.
