I had the same question when we got our new VI Plus a couple of months ago.
The volume for the CW Spot Tone is adjusted along with the CW Sidetone but
you won't hear any difference with the Spot Tone until you get pass Sidetone
volume settings 9 or 10 or so (I like mine set between 5 and 7). Vince,
K7NA, got his
VI Plus shortly after us and we've been comparing notes ever since. He
confirmed my findings.
