Had the same problem with a Scout... extremely high temps on the
heat sink... Leave the rig on receive and measure the current drawn,
(mine for the Scout was 6 amps instead of the 0.5 amp as indicated
in the specs.)... compare your reading with the specs... if it is excessive
back to Tn for a vacation.. My rig was back in 10 days replaced under
warranty free of charge as usual... been working fine since.
