I recall doing the AGC "mod" for the Argosy. I want to comment
that I took it right out as soon as I could. It reduced the
sweet QSK to a shambles. The AGC "popping" is annoying but is
part and parcel of the really fast QSK in the audio derived
AGC it seemed. Others really like the mod, it really does kill
the pops. I just like to hear all that is going on underneath
me while I transmit, and I go upwards of 25 wpm and I still want
to hear. I do not like semi QSK, and that is roughly what I
got with that mod.
