Not a bad idea about other bands for the transverters.....First of all there
is a call for a 70Mhz kit for the Eu ops out there....

The present 10M to 2M transverter is modifiable to 222 I think....requires
changing the doubler mixer osc to a tripler and there changing the IF to
6M....when the 6N2 comes out that maybe the next step....what do you think
Ten Tec?....432 is another area.....but if you are very careful in design
the 432 version could be used at 902 with the right setup.....Of course the
major problem is that 222 and 902 are not the popular bands to transvert too
at present....432 and 1296 are.....Simple triplers can do the job 144 to
432, but at the limit of cw and fm...not what most are interested in......

Anyway, the 70Mhz transverter and the 222 are within Ten Tec reach
now.......I have suggested a request for limited 70mhz activity here in the
US....much as the EU ops did for us in the 70s......Just don't be in a
channel 4 or 5 area!!!!!

Bill
