I received those kinds of reports and had to send my Pegasus back to TT. =
They poked, fiddled, tested and concluded they didn't know what the =
problem was and so they replaced one of the boards in the radio. Since =

Now my radio was in the first batch made and so the thought was that =
there might be something with a component or in the design which has =
since been modified. I think there was a voltage regulator problem that =
if the radio didn't see this differential voltage it would not regulate =
a certain supply voltage properly. It has little to do with the supply =
you are using as this is a regulated voltage somewhere down stream. The =
fix was to put in a different regulator with a lower voltage so that the =
differential was large enough for the radio to work properly. So either =
you have the same problem I did or it is the regulator. Talk to Paul =
Clinton at TT as he was most helpful.=20

But the note sounded bad both on transmit and receive. I had a contact =
with a friend of mine who pointed out the bad sounding note. I had a =
subsequent contact after the fix and he said it sounded as it should. =
Before I sent it back I tested the radio into a dummy load and sure =
enough it sounded raspy while listening on another radio. It just was =
not clean!
That is one advantage of dealing with the folks at TT--they stand behind =
their products.
