Twisting breaks up the air foil and cuts the lifting coefficients. But
increases the direct wind load. I've changed from flat twin lead to real
open wire (18 gauge copperweld on 1" centers) because of that lifting
problem. The copperweld can't stand flexing when encased in ice though,
but it doesn't flop around in the wind until fully coated in ice.
