When someone hits "Reply All" then you will receive their reply directly AND
you will receive the reply through the reflector. Delete the one you find
the bigger bother.

| Thanks for the suggestions. I will check the baud rate and the wiring.
One
| response mentioned connecting pin 2 to pin 2 and 3 to 3 but this is not
what
| the manual indicates. It indicates that they should be 2 to 3 and 3 to 2.
| There is only one other wire which goes from pin 5 of the db-9 to pin 7 of
| the db-25. There is a jumper between pin 4 and 6 on the db-9 connector.
| The program I am currently trying is called TRX Manager. This works with
my
| Kenwood TS-570DG and a standard db-9 to db-9 cable. I will check the
| settings and try again. The problem is not with the com port so it must
be
| either a wiring problem or a problem with baud rate. I do appreciate the
| responses. I hope to get this working but, even if I am unsuccessful, I
| will continue to enjoy using the Omni the quaint old fashioned way - - -
| with "real" knobs and buttons!!!
| YES - I am also getting multiple messages. Perhaps someone (or
| something) is taking this reflector thing too far! Thanks again; BILL
