I spoke to one of your kit specialists and told him the results of my
tests on my 20 meter qrp xcvr's lack of output. He agreed that it was
an open final and wanted to send me a replacement even before I had
explained how I came to my conclusion that the final was bad! Final
arrived this afternoon and sure enough my little transmitter sprang to
life once I got the new one in!!!!! I tested both finals with an
ohmeter before I put them in and the new one indeed read completely
differently than the old one. I'm so thrilled because I was on several
occaisions on the brink of throwing this rig in the trash and being done
with it but my faith has been restored in my "small parts"
seeing/soldering abilities. I haven't tried to contact anyone yet but
I'm sure I'll have good results, receiver sure is hot to. This is
customer service I have never experienced anywhere before :))
