Hello to the List-- I have a Ten-Tec hand-held which is sick. Got it in
the TT flea market. It would transmit, but no receiver noise when I
applied 8.4 volts from a regulated supply. Battery case had no cells,
and had been drilled to accept a cable. Tonight before writing, I
reconnected power and upon entering the 4th digit, display went to
0.000. By scrolling, I could get any frequency to show on the display,
but no transmit.
Is there anyone out there who can help me? I do not have much test gear.
No service monitor. I am NOT asking for a freeby!!! I just want a TT
portable. I was told that it worked "the last time I used it."
Ten-Tec forever!!
