If I recall properly - - - it is ALL about those pesky little ELECTRON
thingies! There is nothing else involved. No Protons and certainly no
Neutrons ( who as their name implies could not care less about electrons )
There really is no such thing as a Positive charge. The term Positive
actually is referring to a LESS Negative condition! Let us not forget
Relativity Theory and the need for reference points. There are no Positive
critters running around! There are just those little Electron thingses
doing all the work. Stick a couple of pieces of metal in a chemical that
makes the electrons leave one piece and congregate on the other. They want
to go back but returning the way they came is not possible. The only way
back is through the radio (a Ten-Tec of course!) that someone has provided
just for that purpose!
I never cared too much for "Hole Theory" for some reason. Electron Theory
is, to me, much easier to comprehend. Often a comparison is made, in BOTH
theories, to cars on a highway. The cars represent the Electrons and the
spaces between cars represent the Holes. I can not remember the last time I
saw a Highway Patrol Unit chasing one of those empty spaces back down the
highway!
Please keep in mind that this is NOT intended as anything more than an
amusing comment. I certainly am not trying to imply any scientific facts
here - just my personal feelings. I do not think that I have "said"
anything that is untrue BUT I did write this rather quickly and may have
made an error. It is fun to have these various "discussions" here on the
reflector. 73's BILL
