I have been using the TR-2000 for two years with my Omni VI. The microphone
does not require a preamp, but I did need to add a resistor for DC power for the
element. At this time, the mic is not working, and I have not bothered to fix
the situation (probably the resistor). It is not a good as the Ten-Tec Astatic
lollipop that I have, but mic audio is clear and works contests OK. The
earphones are great.
