[TenTec] # on Jupiter screen

What does the # sign mean on the jupiter screen? I see it in the AF screen
and others. IT reads 39%# with the 39% being the audio level. when I move
the  adjustment the # goes away but comes back in a second or two.??
This not in manual anywhere.
