Hello all,
I solved my "RF in the shack" problem very simply. I replaced the
"HEPA" filter in my vacuum cleaner with an RF filter! Problem solved! :-)
Well - not quite yet as I have not figured out how, or where, to empty
the vacuum!!!
Actually I did have a problem with RF getting back to my Jupiter. In my
case I traced the route to the remote encoder. I clamped a ferrite bead on
the cable near the plug that connects to the Jupiter and made several turn
coil in the cable itself. This has virtually eliminated the problem(s) and
I rarely have trouble now. I definitely love the Jupiter but must admit
that I was unhappy about the RF problem. I was not aware that so many
others were having the same, or similar, problems. That is what I get for
not posting to the reflector!!! 73's BILL.
