Bill,
I had used a Heil HC-5 with my Omni Vi (upgrade 3) for some time and I had
to build an equalized preamplifier to make it work "correctly". Then I heard
of Julius' W2IHY 8 band EQ and decided it might be a better solution. I
built the kit and discovered some incompatibility problems that were
apparently unique with the Omni VI ( and maybe others). At any rate after
many telephone calls (from Julius) and shipping the unit back, Julius
developed a mod that solved the problem. Now I get "broadcast quality"
reports. Julius is very helpful and I highly recommend his EQ.

Troy, W6HV
