[TenTec] CW note

Hi,
On some signals the cw receive note is somewhat basy and fuzzy. PBT doesn't 
help. My question  is will the 9 mnz 500 and 250 hz filters help with this 
condition? I already have the 500 and 250 mhz filters in the 6 mhz. if. 
What confuses me is that  not all received signals display the condition.
